(Anita) The CAM Cougar baseball team remains undefeated in Rolling Hills Conference play after their 13-9 victory over Exira-EHK Monday. The Cougars took advantage of several first inning walks and some timely hitting by Tanner Brown, Jarod McKee, and Dan Holste. CAM scored eight runs in the first frame.

With regular starters Trevor McKee and Matt Williamson out of the lineup due to Boys State, a couple of 8th graders got their first varsity start with Jarod McKee and Drew Ticknor both going 1-3 with a run scored.

Tanner Brown is the winning pitcher. Brown seven hits and eight walks but got good run support. Jarrad Cavin closed out the game in the seventh allowing no hits, one walk, and striking out one.

CAM moves to 6-1 overall. They lead Exira-EHK by one game and Walnut by two games in the Rolling Hills standings. The Cougars take on rival Adair-Casey tonight.
