(Audubon) It's good feelings all around for the Audubon boys golf team Friday afternoon as the Wheelers accomplish two of their main goals for the season. Audubon beat Treynor for the first time in four years and qualified for the Class 1A state tournament in the process.
Audubon wins the District Tournament at Crestwood Hills in Anita with their 313 team total while Treynor (315) also moves on to state at the runner-up. Boyer Valley finished third with 330 and will not advance.
Individual qualifiers include Medalist Brad Bailey (70) of Treynor, runner-up Andrew Irlmeier (73) of Audubon, along with Jon Smiley from Adair-Casey, Davis Hackman of Woodbine, Michael Bylund from Audubon, and Cole Chapin of Treynor.
