(Clarinda) Defending state qualifier Creston won the 2012 Hawkeye Ten Conference boys golt tournament played at Clarinda on Monday. The Panthers (291) finished seven strokes ahead of three time defending state champion Kuemper Catholic (298). Harlan's 301 finished third in the team scoring at the Hawkeye 10 meet. Atlantic was 20 strokes back in fourth place. Lewis Central (340), Denison-Schleswig (342), Clarinda (347) Shenandoah (350), Red Oak (390) and Glenwood (412) rounded out the conference.
Individually, Carson Whettington of Creston won the eighteen hole tournament. Runner up Medalist was Matt Gute of Kuemper Catholic.
