(Osceola) Nodaway Valley placed 4th among the large schools and Corning finished 5th in the small schools at Thursday's boys meet at Clarke High School.


Nodaway Valley finished in the top three in five different events, led by Alex Welsch jumping 6'0" to win the high jump. The Wolverines Shuttle Hurdle relay team placed 2nd in 1:05.54. Colton Graham, Jackson Shantz, and Greg Smith all placed third. Graham ran 10:44 in the 3,200, Smith threw 125-01 in the discus, and Shantz went 16.62 in the 110 Meter Hurdles.


For Corning, Josh Winkler deliverd the Red Raiders top performance with a leap of 6-00 in the high jump to place 2nd. Jeremy Loghry's throw of 40-10 was enough for 3rd place in the shotput, and the 4X200 Meter Relay squad placed third in a time of 1:423.05.
