(Clarinda) Tri-Center head coach Max Kozeal says he likes to key on the relays in the early part of the season and plans to do that tonight at Clarinda.
Specifically, coach Kozeal will likley to load up in the Distance Medley Relay. That group will be led off by Cameron Eckmann followed Sophomore Ben Wellman, Senior Taylor Tuel will run the 400 Meter leg and senior Trevor Paulsen will finish it off in the 800 Meter leg.
Coach Kozeal says the advantave of keying on the relays early on in the season is seeing how well the kids compete. He adds that one of the big goals for the Trojan's this season is to qualify a running event for state which is something they failed to do last season.
Over 20 schools will compete in the Cardinal Relays today. The meet is split into three division and Tri-Center will run in the Class 2A division.
