(Omaha) At Omaha’s CenturyLink Center last night, the 12th ranked college basketball team in the nation picked up their 21st win of the year and they did it in blowout fashion.
Creighton 102, Illinois State 74. The Jays got 25 points from sophomore star Doug McDermott. The coaches son shot 81.8% on the night. He went 9-11 from the floor including 3-3 from behind the three point arc, and shot 4-6 on free throws. The Ames native ranks 3rd in the country with his 23.6 points per game average. The Bluejays are now 21-2 overall with an 11-1 Missouri Valley Conference record heading into their matchup with 15-9 UNI on Saturday.
