(Atlantic) The Atlantic boys won their third basketball game in four days Monday night 60-44 over Tri-Center. The Trojans jumped out to a 16-2 first quarter run, but Tri-Center responded late in the period with an 8-2 run to close the gap to 18-10.


Atlantic came out in the second quarter outscoring Tri-Center 18-10 to take a 36-20 lead into the locker room at the half.


Atlantic opened up a 50-31 third quarter lead before closing out the game 60-44. Coach Blazek says his ballclub is going to have to be at their best tonight against Creston.


Sam Markham and Harrison Hoegh lead Atlantic with 14-points each, Gunnar Blum chipped in 10-points and Dalton Franken scored nine. Atlantic point guard Chad Christensen finished the game with 7-points and 12-assists.


Britton Barrier led Tri-Center with 16-points and Christian Way added 8-points.


Atlantic extends their record to 8-2. Tri-Center falls to 6-3.
