(Atlantic) Dalton Franken scored 26-points to lead the Trojans past Norawalk 53-33 in boys basketball action Saturday night at Atlantic. The Trojans jumped out to a 10-2 lead and never looked back holding quarter leads of 16-6, 25-13, 39-26, and 53-33 at the final buzzer.
The Warriors were able close the gap to five points one time during the second half game, but otherwise it was all Trojans winning back-to-back games Friday over Denison/Schleswig and Norwalk on Saturday..
Franken scored 8 of his 26-points in the first quarter and ended the half with 10. The Trojans got an offensive boost from Sam Markham, (14-points) and Chad Christensen, (9-points) all from behind the arc. Mitch Lieferman and Harrison Hoegh chipped in two-points each for Atlantic.
Senior forward Austin Perry lead Norwalk with 12-points and 6'8 junior post player Carson Miller finished the night with 11-points, nine of his eleven were scored in the second half.
Atlantic extends their record to 7-2, and Norwalk falls to 2-8.
Atlantic will host Tri-Center as part of a girl/boy doubleheader on Monday night. The game will be broadcast on 95.7 F.M. Tom Robinson and Rich Mitchell will have the call.
