(Harlan) The Harlan Cyclones begin the boys basketball season 1-0 with a 75-14 win over Shenandoah Friday night. Harlan made seven three-pointers in the win.
The Cyclones return Zach Osborn and Seth Lansman as key peices from last years conference co-championship team. Another key player from last year, Jarod Juhl, hopes to return from injury sometime in late January or early February.
Last season the Cyclones shared the Hawkeye 10 Conference title with Kuemper Catholic. Kuemper appears to be an early favorite this year as the Knights are off to a 3-0 start. Harlan coach Mitch Osborn also says Atlantic (1-0) will be an outstanding team this year and noted Lewis Central as another contender.
1-0 Harlan has OA-BCIG on Tuesday and Denison-Schleswig on Friday on the schedule this week.
