GUTHRIE CENTER GIRLS SHAKE OFF SLOW START TO WIN BIG


(Guthrie Center) In a game that aired on KSOM Friday night, Guthrie Center topped Madrid 67-48 in girls basketball. Keisha Bailey stepped up in the absence of leading scorer Leah Courtney. Courtney was injured in a win on Tuesday against Earlham but Guthrie Center got 28 points from Bailey who led all scorers. Bailey made seven 3-pointers in the win. Guthrie Center trailed early but started to click midway through the first quarter. They led 37-27 at halftime and continued to build the lead in the second half.
