(Carroll) Thursday night in Carroll, Shenandoah-Essex was able to accomplish something that no other conference team has done since 2003. That accomplishment was beating the Harlan Cyclones in the Hawkeye 10 Conference cross country meet.


Shenandoah-Essex topped Harlan by 6 points to take top honors in the girls varsity division. The Phillies landed six runners in the top fifteen on their way to the win.
