(Guthrie Center) Coming off of a 12-7 win against Southeast Warren, the Guthrie Center Tigers prepare this week for Earlham. Guthrie Center moved their overall record to 2-5 on the season while Earlham is 4-4 overall.
Guthrie Center coach Bob Bolton says Earlham has some exceptional athletes and is much improved from last season. He thinks both teams will be ready to go this Friday night because a spot in the playoffs is on the line. Both teams are 1-2 in the Class A District 7 standings. These squads are tied for the fourth and final playoff spot.
Madrid is unbeaten in the district and leads the standings. Van Meter and Martensdale-St. Mary's each have one loss.
