Tri-Center scored first and led 7-0 after the first quarter, but Griswold used the passing game to get back into the game in the second quarter. Griswold quarterback Devin Bates lofted two TD passes late in the first half. The junior hooked up with Taylor Briles on a 62 yard score and then took the lead with an 11 yard touchdown pass to Jared Schoning.

In the fourth quarter, Griswold was able to get things back to a one possession game when Chase Jahnke scored on a two yard run. Jahnke's TD came with 5:16 left in the game.

Tri-Center took over three minutes off the clock on thier next possesion but then fumbled the ball away. With less than two minutes to go in the game Griswold had the ball back and had a shot to drive for the game tying score, but Barrier would intercept a pass from Bates and the Trojans eventually ran out the clock with a 26-2- win.
