(Adair) #2 Fremont-Mills needed only 43 seconds to score their first touchdown of the game and took a two score lead just two minutes and fifteen seconds gone by in the game. The Knights got things rolling when All-State running back Nate Meier took a third and eight handoff 48 yards for his first of three touchdowns on the night. Adair-Casey's first offensive possesion resulted in a three and out with Fremont-Mills scoring on a 40 yard punt return by Josh Larsen.
The Knights scored two more touchdowns to lead 32-0 before Adair-Casey scored for the first and only time on the night. The score came on a Cole Palmer (pictured in pre-game warmups) 65 yard touchdown run. After Palmer, cut the lead to 32-8, Fremont-Mills added five more rushing touchdowns in the first half to lead 67-8 at the break. With mostly reserves playing in the second half, the Knights tacked on two more rushing TD's in the second half of play and headed home with an 80-8 victory.
Fremont-Mills improves to 2-0 with the win. Adair-Casey now drops to 0-2 with losses to a couple of top ten teams. Fremont-Mills will oppose Nishnabotna next week while Adair-Casey takes on East Union.
