The Griswold Tigers racked up 498 rushing yards on their way to a season opening 49-14 win over Corning. Griswold averaged 12.1 yards per carry as a team and didn't attempt a single pass in the game.
Garrett Muhlbauer led the way with 195 yards. Jared Schoning, Chase Jahnke, and Kenneth Clary all finished with more than 80 yards on the ground.
Griswold starts off the season with a 1-0 record and will take on Riverside next week. Corning moves to 1-1 on the season and the Red Raiders play at Nodaway Valley next Friday.
