(Anita) The CAM baseball squad snapped a three game losing streak with a win over Boyer Valley in a resumed game Wednesday night.

Right after the Cougars polished off a 15-0 win against Boyer Valley they went on to beat Woodbine 8-6. That puts CAM at 7-10 on the year. The Cougars have managed to remain competitive despite starting three freshman, one 8th grader and three sophomores.

Coach Dan Dauerghty says the team is looking for more consistency and hoping to get on a roll late in the regular season. He says they are still in search of a win over one of the top teams in the conference. An opportunity to do that comes Friday when they meet Coon Rapids-Bayard.

The numbers show that offense has been CAM's strength so far this year. With a .301 team average they rank third in the conference. However, coach Daugherty says the team still needs to get more clutch hits. The Cougars have just 5 games remaining in the regular season.
