(Adair) CAM improves to 5-7 with a 9-2 win over Adair-Casey on Wednesday on the road.
Leadoff hitter Michael Holste set the tone in the top of the 1st inning with a sharply hit single. He would score 2 batters later when Trace Ticknor's ground ball to 2nd base resulted in an error. T. Ticknor also scored in the 1st on a Drew Ticknor RBI hit and CAM never looked back. The Cougars added single runs in the 2nd and 3rd plus 3 runs in the 5th and 2 runs in the 6th.
Michael Holste finished 2-5 with a run and an RBI, Jared McKee went 1-4 with a run scored, Trace Ticknor was on base 4 times and scored 2 runs, Drew Ticknor drove in a run and scored twice in a 2-3 day at the plate, Austin Chester finished 2-4 and scored a run, Marcus Daugherty scored twice and had an RBI single, and Jerry Carr went 2-4 with 2 RBI.
Trace Ticknor pitched a good outing for CAM allowing only three hits and five walks. Three of those walks came in the final inning. Chris Draman and Logan Dinkla scored the runs for CAM. Drew Steckelberg, Brad Patterson, and Blake Leonard had the Bombers hits. Adair-Casey drops to 1-10 on the year.
