(Marshalltown) Susie Bylund capped off a stellar golf career at Audubon with a top five finish at the 2014 Class 2A state meet. Bylund shot five strokes better on day two compared to day one going 83-78--161. She was one of two Wheelers to submit a top 15 showing. Faith Fliflet, also a senior, placed 14th with a two day total of 177. Fliflet was a consistent 89-88 for the 177 total.

Two other area athletes finished in the top 10 with Aly Anderson of Treynor tied for 15th at 181 and Ellen Johnson of Riverside 17 with a 184 stroke total.
Audubon placed 8th as a team. Outside of Bylund and Fliflet, Jorja Weitl shot 200 and Alexis Fabian 233. The Wheelers shot 771 and were just one stroke away from 7th place South Winneshiek. Dike-New Hartford ran away with the 2A title with a score of 690.
