SUPERVISORS APPROVE NORTHWEST WATER AND SEWER EXTENSTION PROJECT CHANGE ORDER AND PARTIAL PAYMENT
(ATLANTIC) The Cass County Board of Supervisors approved a change order for the northwest water and sewer extension project at their meeting this morning.
Dave Sturm with Snyder and Associates updated the board on the project this morning.
“Change Order number one, I think you guys (the Supervisors) are familiar with the major part where we added an additional bore to the project, and the change order also includes removing the four inch line that we were re-routing to serve Marne, so we re-did the connection so we didn’t have to shut Mahle or the city of Marne off and AMU provided the tapping sleeve and we did it that way,” said Sturm. “Basically the change order is a net negative this time around of $1,821 and that includes the additional boring that we did.”
Sturm said the project is about 95 percent done. He said the water is in and tested, the sanitary sewer is in and tests still needs to be done on that, and final clean up and seeding needs to be done as well.
The board also approved an application for partial payment on the project in the amount of $404,301.71.
