TREE CRUSHES TRAILER WITH OCCUPANTS INSIDE
(Omaha) A second round of storms fizzled out last night as they crossed the Missouri River into Iowa. Crawford and Carroll counties were the exception. A severe Thurderstorm warning was issued for both counties just after midnight and was alloed to expire at 1:00 am.
Saturday nights storms were much stronger, especially in around Omaha. A La Vista family is counting their blessings. The family was camping at the Louisville State recreation area in Cass County, Neb., when a tree came tumbling down on their camper Saturday night.
Susan Sparks told news sources that her daughter, and her 4-year-old, 8-month-old and 3-month-old grandchildren were at the back of the camper when the tree crashed down. Sparks had just gone inside when the tree gave way and crashed onto the middle of the camper. The three children and their mother were safe.
