PAGE COUNTY RESIDENT SENTENCED TO 188 MONTHS FOR RECEIPT OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
(COUNCIL BLUFFS) A Clarinda man was sentenced to prison for Receipt of Child Pornography.
On July 18, Robert Eugene Glassgow, was sentenced to 188 months imprisonment. United States District Judge James Gritzner also ordered Glassgow to serve a ten year term of supervised release following incarceration.
On January 12, Glassgow was found guilty by jury verdict of Receiving Child Pornography. The verdict stemmed from evidence presented by the United States at trial establishing that Glassgow had built his own computer and had, by using a file sharing program, received videos and images depicting child pornography over the course of nine months.
The investigation was conducted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation-Cyber
Crimes Unit, Clarinda Police Department, Page County Attorney’s Office and Department of
Homeland Security-Homeland Security Investigations, and was prosecuted by the United States
Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
