TWO INJURED IN PAGE COUNTY ACCIDENT
(PAGE CO) Two people were injured in a four vehicle accident in Page County Tuesday.
The Iowa State Patrol says a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 54-year-old Hugh Hollinrake of Adair, a Dodge mini-van driven by 22-year-old Richelle Hollinrake of Wallingford, a Subaru Impreza driven by 24-year-old Patricia Houghton of Lamoni, and a Kawasaki motorcycle driven by 26-year-old Jeffrey Lillard of Wiota, were all westbound on Highway 2. Hugh Hollinrake had stopped and signaled a left turn onto county road M48. Richelle Hollinrake was behind Hugh and failed to observe his actions and quickly braked and slowed, avoiding contact. Houghton was behind Richelle Hollinrake and took evasive action, driving onto the north shoulder of the roadway, avoiding contact. Lillard, who was behind Houghton, tried to slow down and avoid contact with Richelle Hollinrake’s vehicle, but failed and struck the right rear area of Hollinrake’s vehicle.
Jeffrey Lillard and passenger Elizabeth Lillard, also of Wiota, were both transported to the Shenandoah Hospital by Ambulance.
