ONE SENT TO HOSPITAL IN SHELBY COUNTY ACCIDENT
(Harlan) The Shelby County Sheriff's Office was called to a two vehicle accident Wednesday morning. The accident occurred north of Harlan at the 1400 block of Highway 59. Both vehicles were north bound when a 2007 Chevrolet Impala driven by 58-year-old Teresa Wagamen of Harlan slowed down to take a left turn and was struck by a 2001 Ford F250 pickup driven by 17-year-old Rachel Ferry of Kirkman. Wageman was transported to Myrtue Memorial Hospital and Ferry refused treatment. Ferry was cited for failure to stop in a clear and assured distance.
