AUDUBON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE FILL DEPUTY VACANCY
(Audubon) The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office recently filled a Deputy position. Sheriff Todd Johnson says Jason Rokke, who is originally from Belmond, Iowa, is the new Deputy.
“He’s a graduate of Simpson College in 2006 and he was working at National Insurance in their security department before coming to us,” said Sheriff Johnson.
Sheriff Johnson says Rokke was hired to fill an officer vacancy.
“We had a Deputy that resigned earlier this year and we’ve been doing about a two month hiring process,” said Johnson. “We have to go through the Civil Service Commission, they have to take a post test, physical agility test, psychological test and we do the interviews and a background investigation before we can even offer the position.”
The Audubon County Sheriff’s Department consists of 4-deputies and a Sheriff.
