(Audubon) A Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 6:00 a.m. Friday morning for the following area counties; Audubon, Carroll, Crawford, Cass, Adair, and Guthrie. Audubon County Engineer Mitch Rydll outlines their plan for snow removal in Audubon County today.
“Basically our snow policy states that we will be out from six in the morning until six at night. We won’t be on the secondary roads, but we will be clearing the snow on the county highways. However, if the visibility worsens with the high winds causing white out conditions… we can’t see either… so we will pull our trucks off the road and head back out at 6:00 a.m. Friday. We have also been talking with the Sheriff’s Department and if we run across any vehicles in the ditch we will be in contact with the Sheriff’s Office to get them to a safe place.”
