IOWA DOT’S TEMPORARY FLOOD CALL CENTER TO CLOSE AT 1 PM
(AMES) The Iowa Department of Transportation is deactivating its temporary flood-related road information call center as of 1 p.m. today.
Closures continue on sections of Interstate 29 and I-680 (in Council Bluffs), Iowa 333 in Hamburg, Iowa 2 from I-29 west to Nebraska City, Neb., and the Iowa 175 bridge between Onawa, Iowa, and Decatur, Neb. While these closures are expected to be longer term, travelers are finding adequate alternative routes.
The Iowa DOT will continue to issue periodic news releases on the progress of work on the Iowa 175 bridge, as well as other flood-mitigation projects that may be necessary in the coming weeks.
