(Council Bluffs) Two people were injured in a car vs. pedestrian accident in Council Bluffs this morning.
The Council Bluffs Nonpareil says Council Bluffs Public Works employees were working on filling potholes at around 8:30 a.m. under the I-80 bridge on Madison Avenue and one employee attempted to stop traffic. A vehicle slowed for the road work, but was struck from behind by another vehicle. The force of the crash caused the first vehicle to strike the Public works employee.
The man was transported to Alegant Creighton Health University Medical Center in Omaha with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. One of the drivers was also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
