(State) Crop prices will be down this year but livestock producers should see better income because of it. That's the senario many are painting in agriculture this year including Iowa Agriculture Secretary Bill Northey. He also expects the meteoric rise of land proces to soften.
"Softening is ok, most of us thought land prices were at a place that was pretty crazy. They could be justified and people were paying it, but we could certainly imagine them rolling them back a little bit."
Northey says there is no longer the support for land prices to continue the major upward movement of the last few years.
