(Des Moines) Abortion opponents gathered at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines Monday for the annual “Iowa Right to Life” Day.
Governor Terry Branstad used his time to praise the Iowa House for passing legislation that bans so-called “webcam abortions.”
“The Iowa House of Representative passed a bill to ensure that women that are going to undergo “Webcam Abortions” are entitled to appropriate standard care,” explained Branstad. “We think this is the least we can do to protect them.”
Pro-Life Activists have been urging the Governor to take a stronger role in getting anti-abortion legislation passed through the legislature.
