(Des Moines) The Iowa Chapter of a National Advocacy group is bringing ordinary Iowans to the Statehouse today to “sing the praises” of the Affordable Healthcare Act; sometimes known as Obamacare.
“My husband and I could sell our farm, we could sell our home and that still would not take care of my healthcare needs for longer than a few months; it just wouldn’t,” stated Lisa Vetter, of Red Oak.
Vetter has a message for anyone who has been discouraged by all the highly publicized sign-up problems with the AHA. She said, “Any Iowan out there who is a little bit apprehensive about contacting, going through the national website to get healthcare, do not be dismayed.”
And, Organizing for Action’s urging all Iowans who need health care coverage to apply for Obamacare before this year’s deadline at the end of March.
