(Washington DC) Work is underway this week in the Senate to fix what many have come to believe was a mistake when Congress approved the two year budget agreement in December. Iowa Senator Charles Grassley says the idea is to get rid of the provision that reduced veterans retirement pay.
"We are talking about retirement pay for people under 62. We are not talking about any VA benefits. None of the VA benefits are affected in any way. Now I support restoring the cost of living adjustment."
Grassley says the big issue is coming up with a way to pay for the action.
