(Atlantic) An Atlantic man faces numerous charges following a two vehicle accident Saturday afternoon.
The Atlantic Police Department says Joshua Waggoner was driving westbound on 8th Street and attempted to stop at the stop sign and started sliding into the intersection of Plum Street where his vehicle struck a northbound vehicle driven by Sharon Tanner, of Omaha.
No injuries were reported. Waggoner was cited for Operating without Registration, Failure to Maintain Control/Reduce Speed, and No Proof of Financial Liability. The damage to Tanner’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500. The damage to Waggoner’s vehicle was estimated at $400.
The Atlantic Police Department also reported an accident that occurred Friday on 7th Street. D’Lisa Ware, of Sioux City, was southbound on 7th Street and slowed for a non-contact vehicle in front of her. Jody Rossell, of Griswold, failed to slow down and ran into the back of Ware’s vehicle.
A passenger in Rossell’s vehicle was checked out by Medivac and was found to be ok. No other injuries were reported. The damage to Rossell’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000. The damage to Ware’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000. Rossell was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed.
