(Area) The Iowa DNR is hosting public meetings over the Iowa Communications Network on February 26th to listen to the pulic's thoughts on the potential changes to hunting and trapping regulations.
Locations in southwest Iowa include Creston and Council Bluffs. Brian Hayes with the Iowa DNR's Lewis Office says a variety of topics will be covered.
"This is where you'll hear about where does the deer herd go from here, what is likely goin to happen in 2014 with the number of deer tags, and other changes with all of our hunting seasons."
Public input is strongly encouraged.
"It's a good chance to provide your input as well as also listen to what all of the wildlife biologists in the DNR who are responsible for managing our wildlife resources are saying about the regulations and the seasons."
The event will be from 6-9p.m. on February 26th. For more information you can log on to www.iowadnr.gov/hunting
