(Hamburg) The Hamburg school board will gather today to review their options for hiring a new superintendent. The meeting follows Monday night’s vote to stop sharing a superintendent with Farragut.
Hamburg and Farragut are in the final year of a four-year sharing agreement contract which formed the Nishnabotna School District.
The Omaha World Herald says Hamburg School President Dave Mincer told a large gathering Monday night that they are not trying to end the whole-grade sharing agreement with Farragut, they just feel like they need a change in the Superintendent that the Hamburg School District is comfortable with.
A special meeting is slated for 6:30 this evening in the Hamburg Middle School. On February 17, the Hamburg board will hold a joint meeting with Farragut’s board.
