(Red Oak) Law Enforcement agencies throughout the state will be focusing on getting impaired drivers off the road this Super Bowl Sunday.
“Basically anymore the Super Bowl is almost getting like New Year’s Eve for Law Enforcement; there is a tremendous amount of people that have been consuming alcohol and on the road which everyone knows is very dangerous,” said Montgomery County Sheriff Joe Sampson.
Sheriff Sampson reminds citizens to designate a sober driver and if you’re hosting a party remember, Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk.
He said, “The main thing is don’t let your friends get on the road if they’ve been drinking because you could be saving their life as well as some else’s.”
Impaired driving carries the possibility of fines, increased insurance rates, jail time, injury, and death.
