(Des Moines) Iowa’s two U.S. Senators are asking the Federal Trade Commission to look into dramatically rising propane prices. Iowa has joined two dozen states in easing transportation rules aimed at easing the crunch.
Iowa Governor Terry Branstad says it’s a concern, but there’s no need to panic.
“We don’t want a situation like you have when there is a snow storm coming; everybody goes to the grocery store and buys everything out, so we need to make sure that we get the LP to the people that really desperately need it at this critical time,” stated Branstad.
Branstad has asked the state of Texas to ease some of its rules related to the transport of propane to aid the many states that are running low on supply.
Branstad made the comments today on WHO Radio’s Big Show.
