(Des Moines) The precinct caucuses held this week around the state have some talking, not only about this fall’s election, but the presidential elections in 2016. Iowa will again have the lead off position among the states and state GOP Chair A.J. Spiker told MSNBC this morning tradition and results work in the state’s favor.
“I think that people understand that Iowa has played a traditional role in winnowing the field and the last two presidents came out of the Iowa caucuses; both President Bush and Barack Obama,” stated Spiker.
The line up in 2016 also still has New Hampshire as the first primary and South Carolina as the first presidential test in the south.
