(Harlan) A building and a fence at the Shelby County Fairgrounds was damaged following an accident on January 8th.
The Harlan Police Department says Brandon Nelson was driving a 2005 Chrysler eastbound through the fairgrounds at a speed too fast for conditions. Nelson lost control and locked up the brakes, causing the vehicle to slide on the snow and into a fence and a concrete block building.
Nelson was cited for Failure to Maintain Control. Nelson’s vehicle sustained $8,000 damage. The damage to the property on the fairgrounds was estimated at $2,500.
