(Omaha) Ketvnews is reporting that ten people have been taken to area hospitals and others are missing after an industrial accident in south central Omaha.
Emergency Crews at the scene just southwest of 72nd and F streets reported light smoke around 10 a.m. Monday. The exact location of the scene is 7706 I Plaza, and the business at that address is International Nutrition Inc.
News reports say part of the building collapsed, trapping at least one person inside.
Fire Officials say 38 people were in the building at the time. Of those, 10 were taken to area hospitals. There are still some people missing.
Officials say the structure has not been cleared because there is concern for a secondary collapse. Authorities are not answering questions about fatalities.
One firefighter responding to the call was hurt, but he's expected to be OK.
Ketvnews says and employee who has worked at the plant for eight years text message his girlfriend saying, "Major accident at work I'm hurt and trapped love you."
Omaha police are asking the public to stay away from the area.
Nebraska Task Force One has been activated by Nebraska Emergency Management.
