(Lenox) Two people suffered minor injuries following an accident in Lenox this (Monday) morning.
The Lenox Police Department says the accident occurred at around 8:44 a.m. at the intersection of Brooks and Nebraska. 41-year-old Darold Bredberg, of Lenox, was driving a 2000 Chrysler eastbound on Nebraska and failed to yield from a stop sign. Bredberg pulled in front of a 2004 GMC Envoy, driven by 42-year-old Sean Kingery, of Lenox, who was southbound on Brooks. Bredberg and Kingery were treated at the scene for minor injuries. The damage to Kingery’s vehicle was estimated at $6,000. Bredberg’s vehicle was considered a total loss.
Following a records check, Bredberg was arrested for driving while barred, driving while suspended, non-payment of Iowa fines (11 times), failure to have insurance and failure to obey a stop sign. He was transported to the Taylor County Jail for processing.
