(Omaha) The National Weather Service out of Omaha/Valley, Nebraska has issued a Wind Advisory for all of Southwest and western Iowa until 6:00 p.m. this evening.
Forecasters say strong northwest winds of 25-35 miles per hour with wind gusts of 45-55 miles per hour are expected causing driving difficulties. Officials say watch for debris on the roadways along with locally reduced visibilities in blowing dust.
Some snow showers could also reduce visibilities across western Iowa.
A Wind Advisory means that sustained wind speeds between 30 and 39 miles per hour and gusts between 45-to-57 mph are expected. Winds this storng can make driving difficult, espcially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
