(Lenox) The Lenox Police Department has responded to a pair of traffic accidents late this week.
On Thursday, the Police Department received a report of a child being struck by a car. Upon investigation they found 19-year-old Daniel Kroese, of Lenox, was eastbound on Michigan Street when a 5-year-old boy crossed the roadway. The boys was transported by Lenox Ambulance to a local hospital where he was treated and released. Kroese is cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
On Friday morning, an accident took place at Temple and Locust Streets. 84-year-old Robert Basler, of Lenox was facing north at a stop sign. At the same time 18-year-old Jacey Glynn, of Sharpsburg, was eastbound on Temple and turned south, raking the side of Basler's vehicle causing $2,000 damage. Glynn was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
