(Des Moines) The Huffington Post released a new list this week of most interesting places to go to college. Some 19 schools made it on the list including two from Iowa.
According to the authors of the list, they were looking for more than just the best at something, but also interesting places to have a good time.
And not surprising the University of Iowa made the list. The U of I section shows a photo of a girl consuming alcohol using a funnel. The article reads, "Iowa may be best known currently as the top party school in the nation, which was only further boldened thanks to 'Vodka Samm.' Business Insider called it the No. 2 school on their 'Most Fun' list."
Drake University also made the list, however that section showed a photo of the annual "Beautiful Bulldog Contest." The article reads, "Since this school is in the state capital -- Des Moines -- and has a law school, so you're going to have a lot more happening around politics here. But if politics isn't your thing, and you dream of working for Better Homes & Gardens, then lucky for you this school has connections with its publisher, Meredith, headquartered only a few miles from campus. One of the other biggest benefits is that Des Moines is a small pond where one can quickly become a big fish," reads the article.
The other schools mentioned included; Harvard, MIT, CU in Boulder, Brown University and Vassar.
