(Glenwood) The Mills County Sheriff’s Office responded to numerous accidents on 221st Street Saturday morning due to the frost covered road.
Alexander Neff of Glenwood was driving a 2004 Pontiac northbound on 221st Street, seven miles north of Glenwood, when the vehicle went off the roadway to the right and struck a power pole. Neff was transported to Jennie Edmundson Hospital by Glenwood Rescue.
Darryk Leu of Malvern was driving a 2002 Pontiac southbound on 221st Street, south of Ashton Road, and lost control on the slick road. The vehicle entered the west ditch, struck an embankment, and then reentered the roadway where the vehicle came to rest. No injuries were reported.
Horst Schoreit of Glenwood was driving a 2003 Chevy on 221st Street, four miles north of Glenwood, when the vehicle went off the roadway to the right and struck the embankment and a mailbox. No injuries were reported.
Kelly Carr of Glenwood was driving a 2007 Chevy northbound on 221st Street and went off the road to the right where the vehicle went through several small trees in the ditch. No injuries were reported.
The Mills County Sheriff’s Office says the County Roads Department was notified of the road conditions and did not respond.
