(Red Oak) The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help with any information anyone may have in connection with two recent Church burglaries.
Both burglaries occurred sometime between January 9th and January 10th. The first incident occurred at the Presbyterian Church at 109 S 3rd Avenue in Villisca. There were no reported stolen items and approximately $100 in damage to a desk. The second was located at the Mamrelund Lutheran Church at 410 Eastern Avenue in Stanton. Along with damages, there was also electronic equipment taken. The total loss and damages were estimated at approximately $1,900.

The Page County Sheriff’s Office is also currently investigating numerous Church burglaries. Burglaries have taken place over the last five days, with three burglaries being reported Monday in Page County and one in the city of Clarinda. The Page County Sheriff’s Office is reminding people that it they see something suspicious to contact Law Enforcement immediately as time is of the essence in these crimes. At this time all but one of the break-ins in Page County has involved forced entry to the Churches.
Anyone with information into these break-ins is asked to contact the Page County Crime Stoppers at the Page County Sheriff’s Office, or your local Law Enforcement. A Cash reward of up to $1000 is available for information leading to the arrest and indictment of person’s involved. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
