(Corning) The Adams Community Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual Chamber Banquet on Thursday, January 23rd.
Ouida Wymer, Chamber Director, said the banquet will kick off with a Social at the Happy Hollow Country Club from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
“During that happy hour social we’re going to be featuring our new chamber members; there are about eight new members that joined last year,” explained Wymer. “We’ll also highlight some of the events and some of the accomplishments that we had done last year.”
Wymer said following the Social they will have dinner and then they will honor their Most Valuable People. Wymer said awards will be given for Entrepreneur of the Year, Best Agriculturalist of the Year, Business/Organization of the Year, John McMahon Volunteer of the Year, and the Joe Cook Lifetime Support Award.
“Late December I sent out a cry to all of our Chamber members and they wrote back in with nominees and this year we had a great response; we had about 9 to 12 nominees in every category,” said Wymer. “Those nominees will be highlighted at the banquet and then we will go ahead and present the award winners.”
Tickets for the banquet are $20 per person or $120 for a table of 6. For more information, contact Ouida Wymer at 641-322-3243.
