(Greenfield) The Adair County Board of Supervisor’s holding a special meeting at this hour.
“Today we are meeting to hear funding requests from some of our agencies and departments,” explained Adair County Auditor Mindy Schaefer.
Schaefer says the Library Association will be in to ask for a funding request for the libraries around the county as well as tourism. Others coming to the meeting include; the County Attorney, County Sheriff, and Conservation Departments.
“Most of the budget requests are slightly higher due to increases in salaries and benefits, or remain about the same,” stated Shaefer. “It appears to be a good budgeting season.”
She says insurance rates have increased just slightly. Single coverage went up 3.5-percent and family coverage is up only 3.9-percent.
