(Des Moines) The 2014 Iowa Legislative Session gavels in today. Greenfield Republican Representative Clel Baudler says he will push his plan to raise the state’s gasoline tax during this legislative session.
“I have been very vocal on where I stand on this,” stated Baudler. Who wants to raise the gas tax gradually, “I am saying three-percent, three-percent, three-percent, or three, three, four over the next three years. We have to care of our infrastructure, if we don’t shame on us.”
Baudler says the reorganization of Mental Health Funding will also be at the top of the list of priorities this session.
Baudler, 75, will begin his 16th year as a State Representative. He represents District 20, which includes; Adair and Guthrie Counties, Anita and Wiota in Cass County, and Linden, Dawson, and Perry in Dallas County.
