(Menlo) The Menlo Fire Department responded to a residential fire at 520 Panora Street Thursday night. The call came in shortly after 9:00p.m.
Menlo Fire Chief Ben Gilman provides KSOM/KS95.7 news with the details...
"We arrived on scene and there was nothing showing. We entered the house and went upstairs and found the hot spot in the wall upstairs."
He says they were able to open things up, locate the fire, and put it out very quickly with very minimal damage to the home.
"It went pretty good. The home owner had scene the fire or heard something and thought there might be a fire and called us right away and exited the house. We were able to get there right away. If it would have been a couple of hours later when they were asleep it might have been a different story."
All occupants were able to get out of the house without injury. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical.
