(Atlantic) Cass County ISU Extension is partnering with the Cass County Conservation Board to offer a Penguin Day Camp on January 20th at the Cass County Community Center.
Beth Irlbeck, County Youth Coordinator, said the Penguin Camp is for children in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade.
“They have the opportunity to come to the Community Center, learn about penguins a little bit, do some crafts, take a hike outside, as well as they’ll enjoy a presentation from the Blank Park Zoo,” explained Irlbeck. “Both sessions will have the opportunity to see the animals and birds that the Blank Park Zoo brings out to Atlantic that day.”
Irlbeck said a snack will be provided and she reminds parents to dress their children in appropriate outdoor clothing for the hike.
Youth may register for either the 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. camp or the 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. camp. The camps are offered free of charge with pre-registration required by January 15th. To register your children, call the Cass County Extension office at 243-1132 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
